The Film

Set in 2015, the film tells the story of Max, a troubled, young American living an aimless existence abroad until events force him to face his past and reclaim his life.

The Stars

Nowhere stars American actor Derek Nelson and London-based actress Jennifer Martin, who play Max and Michele, respectively, two damaged souls each battling their own demons.

The rest of the cast is made up of local Cornish actors such as Rory Wilton, Julian Seager, Kate Edney, Jill Greenacre, Rimca Karmakar, Lew Smart, Ollie McFarlane, Harry Dexter and John Franklin. Our supporting artists were organised by Cornish based Debbie Burden of Take 1 Casting, who has supplied SA's to Poldark, Doc Martin and other productions in Cornwall.

Pre-production

After having been in development for nearly three years, Kernowfornia Film Company successfully secured a budget to get Nowhere green lit. What followed was an extended pre-production period, which allowed the team to craft a detailed plan that would help them get the most out the film’s tight shooting window. From there, the team hit the ground running and embarked on a gloriously whirlwind shoot, which finished on time forging not only a compelling story, but many new friendships and future collaborations to come.

The film is currently in post-production and has already begun to attract interest and media attention. For more info about Nowhere, visit the film’s IMDb page.
